Article – #8

For my 8th rotation I presented the following article at my site evaluation. The article discussed whether or not the common thought process that boys are more commonly are diagnosed with ODD than girls. The article questions if this is truly a factual statement or if the disorder presents itself more seriously in boys and that is why it is more commonly associated with the male gender. Aggression in girls is often much more contained than boys. Ultimately, it found that providers need to focus on the gender of the patient’s because the treatment and diagnosis of ODD will be different for each gender.
